Volunteers learning mushroom growing on the farm
Woofers helping on the farm

Interested in WWOOFing with us? We proud to host travelers who are having an NZ Wwoof’ing experience. Here’s what you need to know…

In this post...

We have an active woofer program where we share our knowledge of mushroom farming, running a small business, and a permaculture farm.

We’re interested in people that have already had experience in the woofer program and had positive reviews.

Below is a link to our profile on the WWOOF NZ website. If you are interested in Wwoof’n please check availability and make your request there.

How you can help

In addition to learning all the stages in making mushrooms here’s a quick list of things we need help with

  • Wetlands restoration: Maintaining the Flax (Harakeke), Getting on the waders and pulling out Raupo, eradicating pampas grass.
  • Looking after our free ranged animals: Chooks, Ducks, Kune Pig, Arawapawa Sheep, Mr. Peacock, and of course our beloved dog Cloud. All these animals are an extension of our family.
  • Light construction like fencing or building simple structures
  • Working in the garden and making composting
  • Helping at the Markets
